Unpacking the Inflation Reduction Act: Leveraging Incentives for Sustainable Infrastructure
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 has been billed as one of the largest investments in climate and energy in American history. Signed into law on August 16, 2022 the bill provides tax incentives for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and electrification, designed to help individuals and organizations take steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve infrastructure resiliency. Most importantly, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provides funding streams for both taxable and non-taxable entities, offering new avenues for non-profit organizations such as schools and local governments to finance renewable energy projects and achieve net zero or carbon reduction goals.
Hear from our panelists to learn about the financial implications of the Inflation Reduction Act when it comes to investing in new capital projects or community infrastructure.
